In 1997, Architect Atmaja Tjiptobiantoro founded the Kaliandra Sejati Foundation with a vision to foster a harmonious relationship between culture and the environment. Since then, Kaliandra has evolved into a vibrant hub for cultural and environmental education, providing an enriching experience for visitors and locals alike.

At the heart of this initiative is a beautifully developed resort that offers more than just a getaway. Kaliandra is a dynamic space where leadership skills, teamwork, and cultural appreciation flourishes through a range of engaging programs, including adventurous outdoor activities and at Kaliandra Spa we have the innovative Japanese Enzyme Therapy.

But, Kaliandra’s mission doesn’t stop at education and recreation. We are deeply committed to uplifting the local communities around us. Our community entrepreneurship programs, in collaboration with nine neighboring villages, aim to create stable livelihoods that empower residents. Remarkably, about 80% of the resources essential for maintaining our facilities and programs come from these very communities, highlighting a synergistic relationship that benefits everyone involved.

By igniting awareness about environmental stewardship among villagers, we’re cultivating a sense of responsibility in today’s youth and future leaders. Our goal is to inspire sustainable practices that protect both our environment and its diverse inhabitants.
